President's Message
Greetings and Welcome,
On behalf of the Atwater‑Merced Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, I extend heartfelt greetings to all visitors, community partners, and Sorors near and far. We are honored that you have taken the time to connect with us and learn more about the work we are privileged to do here in the California Central Valley region.
Our chapter stands proudly on the legacy of our 22 Founders—visionary women who committed themselves to sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action. Today, we continue that legacy with purpose and passion, addressing the evolving needs of our community through programs that uplift, educate, and empower.
For over 40 years we have been honored to serve the community of Merced and Stanislaus Counties; partnering in the care and growth of the children, youth, families, and community. We have come together to celebrate our rich cultural heritage, to support student scholarships, and expand knowledge of social justice through education and social action activities. Our chapter has a legacy of sisterhood that has encompassed generations of Delta women; mothers & daughters, nieces & aunts, sisters and other close family friends.
Whether we are mentoring youth, advocating for social justice, supporting educational advancement, promoting health and wellness, or partnering with local organizations to strengthen families, our mission remains the same: to serve with excellence and to lead with impact.
